Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Tap the Best Japanese mobile application (the "App") operated by Tap the Best Japanese ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Tap the Best Japanese is an educational mobile application designed to help users learn Japanese politeness levels (Keigo) through interactive scenarios. The App provides:

• Interactive questions with real-world scenarios
• Score-based feedback on user responses
• Progress tracking and statistics
• Bookmark functionality for review

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

4. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any content within it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
• Transfer your license to use the App to any third party
• Use the App in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or networks

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The question content, scenarios, feedback messages, character designs, and all educational materials within the App are our proprietary content and may not be reproduced or used without our express written permission.

6. User Content

The App does not allow users to submit, post, or share any content. All interactions with the App are limited to answering predefined questions and using built-in features.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the App

8. Educational Disclaimer

The App is intended as a supplementary educational tool for learning Japanese politeness levels. While we strive to provide accurate and helpful content:

• The App should not be your sole resource for learning Japanese
• Language usage can vary based on context, region, and individual relationships
• We do not guarantee that using the App will result in fluency or mastery of Japanese Keigo
• Users should consult with native speakers or professional instructors for comprehensive language education

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the App
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
• Any errors or omissions in any content
• Any other matter relating to the App

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tap the Best Japanese and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available within the App or on our website. By continuing to use the App after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced to the fullest extent under law.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tap the Best Japanese regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
